The water work is a unique workshop of one complete day. It is given at a beautiful location during the spring and the summer time. You’ll be welcome to join this event with the whole family.

In the beginner’s workshop we’ll practise retrieving from the water with different objects.
Once experienced in this aspect we will start working with a boat in which the owner is to take place. The dog will learn to tow the boat back to the shore on command.

In the continuation courses the water work will be enlarged. The dog will come along in the boat, will learn to jump out of the boat and tow the boat to the shore. A new aspect is working with a raft that is navigated by 4 men. The dogs will learn to tow the raft to the shore in couples.

In the advanced course we will also work with a victim (doll). This drowning person must be saved and taken ashore scot-free.

These workshops are suitable for all dogs that are good at swimming. Also youngsters are welcome, but for them the exercises will be adapted.

It is nice to have a drink on the pavement of the nearby restaurant afterwards, especially since also the dogs are welcome there. It feels good to take a rest there after a strenuous workshop for both dog and owner. Enthusiastic participants often want to pick a new date right away to make an appointment for a continuation workshop.
