The find, track and retrieve courses come up to the dog’s urgent need to use his nose.
Suitable for the owner who enjoys being outdoors, working with his dog.
Active courses, but still suitable for dogs that have bone problems and/or arthrosis. Learning without strain and using their nose is a wonderful outlet for these dogs.
These courses are given at Hitland Noord in Nieuwerkerk a/d IJssel.
The first find, track and retrieve course will be an acquaintance course of 5 lessons. In this course the first principles of tracking, assorting, retrieving and working with a hunting-whistle will be taught. This course is even suitable for puppies from the age of 8 weeks. All breeds, and also dogs without pedigree, can participate.
In the continuation courses we will work out all aspects. Different types of tracking will be taught. A start will be made with the work of rescue-dogs.
In the advanced course the work of rescue-dogs will be extended. Searching for ‘strange’ victims will be taught. In this course we will also dedicate a lesson to ‘evening’ tracking, searching in the dark.
During all these courses attention will also be paid to retrieving and assorting.
The continuation courses and advanced courses consist in 10 lessons.
